Wine Enthusiast Scores

We're thrilled with the recent Wine Enthusiast scores given to these 2019 wines. Wine Enthusiast Editor Matt Kettmann's comments are fun and contrast with ours. They are definitely worth a read. These wines are exclusively available for Wine Club members at this time.

Wine Enthusiast Editor Matt Kettmann's comments:

2019 Goat Bubble Blanc de Noirs Ampelos Vineyard -Combining a persistent mousse with fresh citrus and mineral-laced aromas and flavors, this is one of the region's better bubblies right now. Aromas of wet stone, citrus and cake batter lead from the nose into a foam-full palate of tart apple, tangerine peel and delicate dough.

2019 Pinot Noir Rancho Santa Rosa Vineyard -A lighter hue in the glass, this bottling is layered on the herbally exciting nose in peppercorn, bay leaf, red currant and cranberry aromas. The palate is hearty in mouthfeel and packed with cohesive flavors of eucalyptus leaf, baked berry, dried meat and more spicy peppercorn.

2019 Pinot Noir Solomon Hills Vineyard - Strawberry compote and peppery spices meet with a umami-laced charcuterie depth on the nose of this bottling from a very coastally influenced site. Dried beef and smoked-pork flavors meet with the tart cranberry and strawberry core of the palate, making for a complex mix of fresh and savory.

2019 Pinot Noir Rio Vista Vineyard Dijon -Strong herbal aromas of incense, bay leaf and patchouli meet with smashed red plum and sandalwood on the nose of this clonal study. The herbal package picks up thyme, oregano and fennel pollen on the roasted-plum palate.
