20 Year Old Pinot is Superb!

Norm and I drank a couple of bottles of our Flying Goat Cellars 2003 Solomon Hills Vineyard Pinot Noir this past week and we're pleased to report that it's still delicious! Yes, a 20 year old Pinot Noir from Santa Maria Valley AVA. It was still fresh, even when we drank an open bottle a few nights later. If you have one in your cellar, we recommend that you pull it out and celebrate 20 years of life. The wine is a lovely Burgundian expression that promises to delight. If you are curious, we have some bottles in our library selection for sale. We also recommend that you use an ah-so cork remover for all older bottles where the corks may be breaking down.
