Lake Fire v. Wine & Fire
In my eagerness to share the discount pricing for the upcoming "Wine & Fire" events, I neglected to mention the Lake Fire in my email this week. My apologies and thanks to those who have reached out expressing concern. Since July 5, Lake Fire has been burning in Santa Barbara County and is currently the largest wildfire in the state. It has burned 36,707 acres with only 16% containment. It started at Santa Lucia Road near Zaca Lake and grew quickly, burning through grass and brush amid the prolonged heat wave. So far the fire has not endangered the vineyards that we'll source fruit from this year. We do have friends and colleagues who have been adversely impacted by the fire and evacuation. Our hearts are with them.
