Tyler Ellison paints in oil from life on the Central Coast. The art pieces on display at the art salon reflect a varied perspective of San Luis Obispo County: rugged trees, layered hills, iconic landmarks, creeping mists, vibrant sunsets and sweeping skies. They're also a collection of memories: walks with friends, sunrise hikes, drives through a gorgeous sunset and quintessential views of the glorious ordinary. Paint is mixed and applied to wood panels using only a palette knife, a style aimed at capturing the interplay of harmonious colors, organic shapes and fluid dynamism naturally occurring in nature.
