Vineyard Update March 2022
Norm and Cooper took a stroll through the lovely Rio Vista Vineyard in Sta. Rita Hills AVA on March 7. They were expecting to see evidence of bud break but nothing was visible yet. Cooler temperatures slowed down the growing process over the past few weeks. The cover crop between the rows looks healthy, which is important to replenish nitrogen back into the soil for the long growing season ahead. The vineyards can still use more rain; Santa Barbara County's water resources are low.
