Winemaker Dinner at La Purisima Mission

We hosted another intimate winemaker dinner with Sta. Rita HiIls "Vintner of the Year" Norm Yost at the landmark La Purísima Mission State Historic Park on September 20, 2025. Chef/Owner Clark Staub of Full of Life Foods catered our event with an abundance of extraordinary culinary delights paired with our tasty wines.

Chef/Owner Clark Staub is renowned for bringing the Full of Life Flatbread experience outside of his restaurant. He has baked and prepared food for small, intimate gatherings, as well as events for 300 or more. Using seasonal and local ingredients, he specializes in creating menus designed for unique dining experiences.

This was Flying Goat's sixteenth dining experience in the romantic, rustic setting of the historic Franciscan mission located outside of Lompoc. Guests were able to unwind in the rich cultural ambiance of the mission as Winemaker Norm Yost poured Goat Bubbles sparkling wine in the mission garden, followed by a flight of our finest wines paired with tasty courses in the nearby dining room seating 38 guests.

The dinner reflected the grand achievements of Flying Goat's 25 years as a part of Santa Barbara County’s amazing culinary and wine community. There's no better way to celebrate than with great company, great food and even better wine.

La Purísima Mission State Historic Park is the most completely restored mission in California. It offers a bucolic and relaxed setting for special events, surrounded by historic buildings. Our event is held at The Historic Mission Garden and La Sala. Arrive early to visit The Main Church and The Padre’s Chapel.

A popular culture anecdote, La Purisima Mission has been the production site for many feature films, including One Battle After Another, which is being released in theaters September 25! It's written, produced and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, featuring Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn, Benicio del Toro, Regina Hall and Teyana Taylor.
