Food Pairing
Jamón ibérico, Gruyère cheese, lamb chops, smoked chicken or marzipan tart are pairings you might consider. Or how about a breakfast favorite: almond croissant and bubbles? Enjoy the elevated experience at a reasonable price.
Product Notes
66% Pinot Noir 2A, 22% Chard 4, 11% Pinot Meunier; 239 cases produced.
Tasting Notes
The rose gold color is reminiscent of a Rainier cherry or golden kiwi. The tangerine aromas on the nose have underlying notes of unripe strawberry. The Pinot Meunier showcases well on the palate, creating lush flavors of fresh apricot. Enjoy the velvety rose petal texture. Let the super fine bubbles of this elegant sparkler indulge your senses on every level. Indulge with or without food.
Vineyard Notes
The 2021 is a blend of 66% Pinot Noir Clone 2A and 22% Chardonnay Clone 4, both from Rio Vista Vineyard in Sta. Rita Hills AVA, and 11% Pinot Meunier from Riverbench Vineyard in Santa Maria Valley AVA. This is the first vintage Goat Bubbles features a blend of three varieties typically used in Champagne.
Winemaker Notes
We use the term Cuvée to specifically indicate a blend, a wine produced from a mixture of several grape varieties, rather than a varietal wine. Our other five sparklers are single varietal and single vineyard. Thus, our Cuvée will vary in the blend from year to year and always be a pleasant surprise.
