Tasting Notes
This wine will remind you of the hair color and sunny charm of a California beach blonde. Enjoy hints of crabapple and kneaded bread dough on the nose. The palate expresses the bracing white minerality of a waterfall, complemented by lime blossom. The finish will remind you of the silky texture of crème brûlée dancing across your tongue.
Vineyard Notes
The 2021 is a blend of 66% Pinot Noir Clone 2A and 22% Chardonnay Clone 4, both from Rio Vista Vineyard in Sta. Rita Hills AVA, and 11% Pinot Meunier from Riverbench Vineyard in Santa Maria Valley AVA. This is the first vintage Goat Bubbles features a blend of three varieties typically used in Champagne.
Winemaker Notes
We use the term Cuvée to specifically indicate a blend, a wine produced from a mixture of several grape varieties, rather than a varietal wine. Our other five sparklers are single varietal and single vineyard. Thus, our Cuvée will vary in the blend from year to year and always be a pleasant surprise.
