"There's a pleasantly rustic combination of bay leaf and loamy earth on the nose of this bottling, along with a tangy while dark-cherry aroma. The palate lands with an impressive heft, combining bold dark-red fruit with eucalyptus leaf and mace, and cut by a persistent acidity."

Tasting Notes
Behold the ruby red color and delightful aromas of white pepper, potpourri and dried blue fruit with subtle oak undertones. Taste the fruit forward flavors of raspberry and cranberry, complemented by youthful tannins that will continue to meld with aging.
Vineyard Notes
Planted in 1997, the Dierberg Vineyard is located in the middle of Santa Maria Valley. It's the oldest of three vineyards owned by the Dierberg family in Santa Barbara County. The vineyard boasts 161 acres of rolling hills with mostly sandy loam soils, about 2/3 of which is planted to Pinot Noir. We have enjoyed working with the Dierberg family, vineyard managers and fruit from this vineyard since 2001. Due to Mother Nature, we recently moved to a new block with a different clone in the vineyard and are
enjoying the new expression of our Dierberg wine.
