Tasting Notes

The medium to dark ruby color is visually rich and complemented with notes of dark plum, cocoa and Kona roast coffee on the nose. Flavors of jammy dark fruit delight the palate. This Pinot Noir will stand up to strong cheeses, such as blue, camembert and brie. During the holiday season, this wine will enhance your sweet potato and pumpkin pies.

Winemaker Notes

With another vintage, this wine was made just for our Philosophers’ Club members so enjoy the limited quantity with your friends and family during the holiday season or any other special occasion. Keep in mind that large format wines are a fun surprise for sharing anytime of the year! Made from one of our favorite clones and from one of our favorite vineyards, the grapes were picked at 24.0 Brix and the wine was barrel aged in French oak for over eighteen months. This wine is always a crowd pleaser!
