"Aromas of dark-cherry liqueur, root beer and tree bark make for a great combination of fruit, spice and earth on the nose of this single-vineyard expression. There's a fine tension to the palate, where black-raspberry, fennel-pollen and thyme flavors sit balanced between freshness and complexity."

Food Pairing
Pairs well with lox, bagels, cream cheese and capers, bison burgers, kabobs, white cheddar, Queso Manchego and chantrelles on Israeli couscous.
Production Notes
Clones 667 and 777; 102 cases released.
Tasting Notes
Plot a revenge with this crimson wine. Get inspired by the clarity in the color. The smokey, earth aromatics are enhanced by hints of dried cranberries, brown spice and mesquite. The expressive terroir resonates on the palate with flavors of black currant and elegant tannin. There is a graceful mid palate and lingering finish.
Vineyard Notes
Rancho Santa Rosa Vineyard is owned by Bill Foley Family Wines and is located between Lompoc and Buellton on Highway 246. It was planted like a quilt of many small vineyards, as each block was meticulously planted to just the right varietal, rootstock and clone for that particular slope and soil. There are 225 acres planted with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Flying Goat has been sourcing grapes from the vineyard since 2002.
