2018 Goat Bubbles Brut Cuvée ($48 retail)
25% off/bottle =$36 or 30% off/case = $403.20
Tiny bubbles and pale straw color delight the eye. There is zero dosage, perfect as nature intended it. Enjoy yellow pear, lemon peel, chalk and flint on the nose. The palate is well-balanced, like two acrobatic rock-and-roll dancers, and shows textured flavors of apricot, 7Up and pastry dough. One of our Ambassadors noted that this wine is the "Elysian Fields of the palate." Pair with sushi, chilled shrimp and caper lemon or fried calamari. Cheese, such as Humboldt Fog and truffle goat, are tasty options. Dessert pairing includes nectarine cobbler with vanilla ice cream for the home run.
2018 Pinot Noir Bien Nacido Vineyard ($65 retail)
25% off/bottle =$48.75 or 30% off/case $546
Winemaker Norm Yost harnesses his New World winemaking into an Old World wine expression. Let the earthy nose of this classic wine entice you into a web of dusty rose, fragrant dried fruit and brown spice aromatics. Enjoy luscious raspberry, currant and cranberry on the palate and a smooth lingering finish. Pair with lamb, stuffed quail, swordfish with caper and lemon sauce or perhaps even sea salt dark chocolate. Wine Enthusiast Editor Matt Kettmann rated this wine with 93 points and noted, “Dried berry, black-tea, hibiscus and loam aromas invite the nose into this bottling from an iconic vineyard. The palate is quite complex, offering sour-cherry, mace, sumac and tea-leaf flavors.”
