Flying Goat launched its 24th harvest on September 5th with Pinot Meunier from Riverbench Vineyard. This is our third vintage of Pinot Meunier; we are launching our first release (2021) this week to wine club members only. Pinot Meunier is most commonly used as a blending grape in Champagne. It is a light and aromatic red variety with a good amount of “juicy” fruit that adds acidity and fresh, fruity flavors. We first tasted Pinot Meunier at a Champagne event in L.A. and were intrigued. Riverbench Vineyard led the way with Pinot Meunier in Santa Barbara County and we're thrilled to source their fruit.
