Angelina LaPointe @sidecarpress
Angelina LaPointe is a printmaker living and working in Lompoc, CA. “California Fauna: Wildlife Blockprints by Angelina LaPointe.” LaPointe studied printmaking and book arts at the University of CA Santa Barbara’s College of Creative Studies. A decade ago, she founded Sidecar Press, a letterpress studio housed in her spare room, where she creates logos, portraits and illustrations celebrating nature, music and other things close to her heart. Her work draws on influences from print traditions, pop culture images and art historical references.
LaPointe’s block print technique is based on the centuries old Japanese key block method, also looking to early 20th-century Art Nouveau design and the groundbreaking prints of the Russian Avant-Garde movement. She combines influences ranging from “full-color old-school” tattooing to xeroxed punk posters, to the 1970s science books that inspired and informed her childhood. LaPointe blends these varied visual languages to build a sense of familiarity and nostalgia in the work that appeals to a broad audience. She seeks to make work that is beyond its time and finds a place in the hearts and homes of her collectors.
Sam’s Endless Hobbies @samsendlesshobbies
Sam's crochet business is called Sam’s Endless Hobbies because she had an endless amount of hobbies. Along with crocheting, she also enjoys creating custom T-shirts, baking, gardening and candle making, to name a few. She has always liked to work with her hands, so making things is extremely rewarding for her. She crochets and makes yarn crafts for fun. At a young age, Sam's mom taught her the basics of crocheting. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Sam picked it up again and mostly made larger items such as beanies and stuffed animals. Once Sam realized that she had enough items to sell, she decided to participate in her first vendors booth. For her first booth, she sold crochet plushies, microcrocheted keychains and macrame plant holders. After almost selling out that day, Sam realized how much she enjoyed making and selling her handmade items - "especially when a young child falls in love with my crochet plushies and is super excited to take it home!" Outside all of her hobbies, Sam is a registered dental assistant and she is in school pursuing dental hygiene. Consequently, Sam's hobbies are helping financially support her education! She's proud that she was born and raised in Lompoc too.

Holiday music by JAB. JAB grew up in Northwest Indiana, surrounded by cornfields and Amish people. He was a child prodigy – touring Europe as a soloist with the Elkhart Symphonic Wind Ensemble at 13, playing Carnegie Hall at 16 and earning a full scholarship to Indiana University at 17. He went on to earn his masters at the University of Redlands under the mentorship of Barney Childs, a protegé of Aaron Copland. During his final semester there he worked with and composed a piece for Rudy's Perez' 25 Years in LA celebration at LACE (LA). He soon moved to Finland to bring the healing powers of music to work with children who'd been abused and neglected. He found this work engaging, challenging and fulfilling and it would become one of the main focuses of his life.
JAB moved back to the Bay Area, where he performed with and led a number of rock and jazz groups, including the critically-acclaimed, Bitches Brew, a nonet which “rocketed Miles Davis into the future!” * He was also involved with American Composers Forum, 21st Century Players, San Francisco Composers Chamber Orchestra, ODC Dance, and other modern artists. During this time he continued to hone his skills as a trumpet player, composer, music promoter and producer.
